1. What are the functions of soliloquies?
a. how is plot affected by soliloquies?
b. when a character engages in a soliloquy, what kind of relationship is established between the audience and the character?
c. what other uses of soliloquies are there?
2. how is LOVE explored in shakespeare's plays? (e.g To Iago, love is synonymous with lust in Othello)
3. what constitute tragedy/comedy? Think about the elements that contribute to the tragic or comic effect of a play.
4. APPEARANCE V.S REALITY - what different aspects of this theme are explored?
